Game of Thrones isn’t rebounding until 2019

Wintertime isn’t coming any time soon.

Today HBO broke it to dedicated fans the world over that Game of Thrones will not be returning until 2019. Game of Thrones celebrity actress Sophie Turner gave as much away in an interview with Variety last month, while many fans were nonetheless awaiting an official confirmation with their darkest fears.

HBO’s choice to announce the eighth season date in the beginning of the year probably dampened the psychological impact for fans, who will wait more than a year intended for the wildly suspenseful exhibit to return after the season several finale, "The Dragon and the Wolf, " aired in August 27, 2017. HBO confirmed that the final time will be a six-episode run, sbo360 even though we’re hoping that a lot of those clock in more than 60 minutes, given how a large number of loose ends there are plus the show’s propensity to run longer.

Along with the news, HBO mentioned that it will switch things up a bit with David Benioff, N. B. Weiss, David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik pointing the season. The writing staff will consist of David Benioff, D. B. Weiss, Bryan Cogman and Dave Slope. Yep, that means no women on the directorial or producing teams - a thing we’ll keep complaining about until the market moves toward anything similar to gender parity.

Considering that it may be the fourth day of the beginning of the year, 2019 is a long way away for many fans, who have delivered to Twitter to express their despair in meme form.
