Abstract

The anthropological data confirms that moving of the human beings after last glacial epoch across east Europe went from the Carpathians Mountains, but not from the West European territories. The data on mtDNA and Y-chromosome says that the territory of Ukraine was the geographical centre of human distribution by east part of Europe on the glacial epoch termination. Connection of modern Ukrainians with culture of linear-band ceramics is considered. The question of their genetic relationship with Trypillians is discussed.
